Set in the wonderful geothermal waters that surround Rotorua, bathing is one of the main attractions at the Polynesian Spa and the geothermal mineral waters are sourced from two natural springs and fed into no less than 27 mineral pools at the spa complex. With two different water types; one more acidic and one more alkaline, you can treat the body in different ways as the acidic waters relieve aches and pains whilst the more alkaline waters nourish your skin.
Each of the pools is designed for different purposes from the deluxe double dipper which is perfect for couple to the family double dipper which features water slides and great views out across the lake. There’s also a private pool where you can truly sit back and relax.
Retreat

The second element to the Polynesian Spa is the retreat – a place to come and truly indulge yourself with a treatment or series of treatments to cleanse and relax the body and mind. They recommend spending at least three hours at the retreat to really feel the benefits, allowing yourself time for a hot mineral soak, your therapy and time in the relaxation lounge.
There are a number of treatments available from facials to massage to mud therapy as well as Polynesian Spa’s signature AIX Therapy which includes a full body exfoliation and a relaxing coconut oil relaxation massage.
